The village of Ivanivske in Donetsk region remains under the control of the Ukrainian armed forces, despite ongoing attempts by the Russians to storm it and bombard it with various weapons, Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the operational-strategic group of forces “Khortytsia” of Ukraine, told Liga. Earlier, the OSINT project Deepstate claimed that Ivanivske was allegedly taken by Russian troops.

Voloshyn told Liga that Ivanivske had been the target of most Russian attacks, with 222 incidents reported over the past day alone.

“(The Russians) are attacking Ivanivske with everything they have and trying to take it. But the Ukrainian warriors are holding their ground and delivering a robust response to the enemy.” explained the spokesman.

Voloshin said that by 9:00 a.m. today, Ukrainian troops had thwarted seven Russian attempts to break through their defenses in the Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka areas and in the Novyi district of Chasiv Yar.

The three villages located southwest of occupied Bakhmut and the area around the town of Chasiv Yar in the west have been among the front’s focal points for months.
