Thomson Reuters, a global content and technology company, has expanded its partnership with SAP and integrated ONESOURCE Sales & Use Tax Compliance with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance for SAP S/4HANA. The new integration helps companies using SAP technologies automate and file U.S. sales and use tax returns directly from SAP Document and Reporting Compliance through a unified user experience. This streamlines processes, saves time, and supports tax filing accuracy to minimize risk.

This follows previous solution integrations, including three ONESOURCE solutions from Thomson Reuters certified as SAP Endorsed Apps: ONESOURCE Determination for SAP S/4HANA and SAP ERP (US/CA), ONESOURCE Determination (US) for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition, and ONESOURCE Tax Provision for SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Ray Grove, Head of Corporate Tax and Trade at Thomson Reuters, said: “By deepening our ONESOURCE integrations with SAP S/4HANA, we are delivering best-in-class tax compliance solutions to our customers right where they work – in their ERP system. For companies using SAP technologies, we offer the ability to use ONESOURCE Sales & Use Tax Compliance to file domestic regulatory reports. This automates the preparation process, can save them time and helps ensure compliance with the latest U.S. regulations. Our work with SAP underscores our commitment to equip customers with best-in-class tax compliance technology as part of our long-standing partnership.”

Elvira Wallis, SVP and Global Head of SAP Globalization, added: “The continued collaboration between SAP and Thomson Reuters helps us meet the complex tax compliance requirements of our customers operating in the US. By offering companies the ability to prepare tax returns in SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, supported by ONESOURCE Sales & Use Tax Compliance, SAP customers can benefit from a harmonized user experience, a more efficient tax return preparation process, and improved data transparency. This can make it easier to trace transactions back to the source within SAP S/4HANA, ultimately helping to solve key compliance challenges for companies.”

Key features of integrating ONESOURCE Sales & Use Tax Compliance with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance

ONESOURCE Sales & Use Tax Compliance enables a standardized and repeatable process for preparing and filing domestic statutory reports within SAP Document and Reporting Compliance. As the leading provider of e-filing support, it automates the preparation process across all U.S. territories and includes over 850 signature-ready official state, county, and city tax return forms. Regulatory changes are constantly monitored and content is continuously updated by the Thomson Reuters tax research team to ensure full compliance with the latest regulations in each location.

This new integration with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance provides improved efficiency, accuracy, and transparency by enabling users to manage the entire return process from form creation to submission within SAP Document and Reporting Compliance directly in the SAP S/4HANA system of record.
