How did the Peach Truck come about?

The Peach Truck was founded in 2012 by Stephen and Jessica Rose when they realized that the peaches at their local grocery store were not fresh and sweet enough.

Stephen Rose had a craving for the peaches from the Georgia orchards where he grew up, and the couple decided to build a small empire, the company’s website says.

What to look for in a good peach

Color: It is not the reddish blush color, that is just the result of exposure to sunlight. A good peach should have a deep, golden yellow color with no green.

Scent: A good peach smells like a good peach, says Peach Truck’s website. If there is no scent, the peach probably lacks flavor.

Touch: A good peach should feel soft when lightly squeezed.

Peel: The peel of a peach is a reliable indicator of its quality and ripeness. When wrinkles form around the stem, it means that the water has evaporated from the peach, the sweetness has increased and the peach is ready to eat.
