Nassau County police are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains found at a construction site at an apartment complex in Woodbury on Monday afternoon.

At around 4 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call about possible human remains at a construction site near the Eagle Rock Apartments, 92 Fairhaven Boulevard. While digging in the ground, police discovered skeletal remains.

Nassau County police are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains found at a construction site at an apartment complex in Woodbury on Monday afternoon.

At around 4 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call about possible human remains at a construction site near the Eagle Rock Apartments, 92 Fairhaven Boulevard. While digging in the ground, police discovered skeletal remains.

The remains were removed and taken to the medical examiner’s office for further examination.

Police did not say whether the remains were human or how long they had apparently been buried.

There was initially no comment from those responsible at Eagle Rock Apartments.
