We must continue to elevate the incredible female leaders we have and give them the opportunity to reach the next level of their careers,” Case added.

The Banff Sparks program is open to Canadian women and targets the elusive gender parity in the media industry by supporting the growth, investment and sustainability of careers women pursue in media companies. Participants will receive a ticket to the 2025 Banff World Media Festival and a travel stipend to cover the cost of attending the festival.

“We commend our new partner Paramount+ for their commitment to promoting gender parity in our industry through their support of Banff Spark. This unique program has already created positive career opportunities for more than 200 participants by helping them form strategic partnerships, improve their business skills and gain a foothold in the global marketplace,” said Jenn Kuzmyk, Executive Director of the Banff World Media Festival, in her own statement.
