Mullen Automotive, Inc. (NASDAQ:MULN) shares are trading lower on Tuesday.

The company announced that the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, has approved a state rebate credit of up to $15,000 for its all-electric Class 3 low-cab forward truck, the Mullen THREE 2024.

With the additional $7,500 federal tax credit, the net price for the Mullen THREE is estimated to be around $46,000.

The MOR-EV program aims to improve the affordability of electric vehicles for residents, businesses and nonprofits in Massachusetts.

MOR-EV focuses on promoting clean transportation goals, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and ensuring equitable access to electric vehicles.

The MOR-EV Trucks initiative offers incentives for the purchase or leasing of a variety of medium- to heavy-duty battery- and fuel cell-powered trucks, buses and vans, with rebates available for both individual and fleet purchases.

Yesterday, the company announced the addition of Eco Auto, a Boston-area zero-emissions commercial vehicle dealer, as its newest franchise dealer.

Eco Auto will handle national fleet opportunities for Mullen’s full line of commercial electric vehicles, with a focus on New England.

Eco Auto’s initial order includes 10 Mullen ONE vans and 3 Mullen THREE trucks.

“The New England region is a major hub in the Northeast for commercial fleet companies and we are excited to establish a foothold there,” said David Michery, CEO and chairman of the board of Mullen Automotive.

Price promotion: MULN shares were trading 2.83% lower at $2.75 at last check on Tuesday.
