SOUTHFIELD – Maya Hunter of St. Joseph and Elayna Bowser of Dearborn shared medals in stroke play and will be the top two seeds in match play beginning Wednesday at the 108th Michigan Women’s Amateur Championship presented by Carl’s Golfland.

Hunter, a recent graduate of Northern Michigan University, shot a 68 (2 under par) on Tuesday at Plum Hollow Country Club after opening with a 77 on Monday for a score of 145 (5 over par).

And Bowser, the 2019 Michigan Amateur champion, played an even-par round of 70 for 145 after a 75 on Monday.
