Suffolk Highways said the road will be closed from 8pm to 5am from June 18-20 for road resurfacing.

A spokesman said: “During this time the road will be closed to ensure the safety of motorway users and our staff.”

The work will be carried out in two phases.

The first phase extends from London Road in Pakefield to Kensington Road – with traffic diverted via the B1532, A12, B1532 and vice versa.

The second phase of work will be carried out from Rectory Road to Cliff Road.

During construction, northbound traffic will be diverted via Rectory Road, B1532, A12 and back to B1532, while southbound traffic will be diverted via B1532, Mill Road, A12 and back to B1532.
