And judging by the look on his face in a video of a recent wedding that circulated online, he may want to avoid a ring of a different kind.

The video was shot last weekend at a wedding reception that Harden attended with his girlfriend Paije Speights.

Speights, a Detroit fashion designer, stood at the back of the crowd with the former NBA MVP during the ever-popular bouquet toss, and after a few distractions, the flowers fell to the ground and landed with her, who was able to easily take them with her.

Speights hugged Harden excitedly, but the LA Clippers star stood there with an almost expressionless, disbelieving look on his face.

Commentators on social media are now having a lot of laughs at Harden’s expense.

“Bro avoids a ring at ANY cost,” one user replied, referring to Harden’s penchant for coming up short in the playoffs.

“Bro said, ‘She’s going to get a ring before me,'” another wrote.

“He’s about to hit her with the cleanest stepback of her life lol,” one user wrote on Instagram.

“He said, ‘If I don’t get a ring, you don’t either,'” one person wrote, while another commented, “He can’t commit to a team, there’s no way he’s committed to them.”

Throughout his NBA career, Harden was known for quickly demanding trades from teams whose situations he didn’t like and was criticized for giving up in hopeless situations to chase rings.

Now he might find himself in a situation where he is the one giving out a ring.

Harden and Speights made their romance Instagram official in May, when the 10-time All-Star shared a selfie of herself and a heart emoji. She posted a snap of Harden with the caption, “Uno.”

Harden played alongside fellow star players Paul George and Kawhi Leonard on the Clippers this season, averaging 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 8.5 assists. However, after finishing fourth in the Western Conference, the Clippers were eliminated in the first round by the Dallas Mavericks.

After Harden began his career with the Oklahoma City Thunder, he played for the Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers.
