A minor league baseball game will be played between the Montgomery Biscuits and the Birmingham Barons – in honor of the heritage of the Negro Leagues, the teams will play as the Montgomery Grey Sox and the Birmingham Black Barons. This will be followed by

20th June

through a special Major League Baseball match in Rickwood between the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants.

But first, as the nation prepares for Juneteenth celebrations, a new documentary will be released that honors and explores the history of Rickwood and his original hometown team.
