Bedrock and Ease Live announce their newly formed collaboration to provide media and entertainment companies with highly immersive video experiences through interactive overlays that increase viewer engagement.

These interactive overlays will be broadcast on June 15 alongside coverage of Euro 2024 on M6+, the free streaming service of France’s Groupe M6, and will give viewers access to live match statistics and fan engagement features, including match statistics, team lineups, player statistics, league tables and much more.

“At Bedrock, we are constantly developing new solutions to create exceptional streaming experiences. That’s why we decided to work with Ease Live,” says Jonas Engwall, CEO of Bedrock“By combining Bedrock’s streaming expertise with Ease Live’s innovative overlay technology, we are enabling M6+ to deliver a truly immersive experience to EURO 2024 viewers and set a standard for how fans want to interact with their favorite sporting events.”

In the initial deployment of this joint solution, Bedrock and Ease Live will deliver interactive overlays over-the-top (OTT) to M6+ viewers via Android TV, Apple iOS and Android mobile devices. These features will also be made available later this year across a range of smart TVs and devices, including Samsung, LG, Hisense, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. By implementing a solution that sits “on top” of existing TV or OTT services, Bedrock and Ease Live significantly reduce deployment times from months to days and enable global scalability.

“Engaging audiences with interactive content is about delivering a great user experience across devices – so our customers can expand their services and monetize more of their content,” says Kjetil Horneland, CEO of Ease Live“It is really exciting that the first implementation from our collaboration with Bedrock will enable French sports fans to enjoy interactivity during such a major event as EURO 2024. We are impressed by the quality of their streaming services and their extremely dedicated team and look forward to enabling M6+ and other Bedrock customers to launch interactive features in the future.”
