Dwayne Johnson may be “The Rock,” but he is not indestructible.

The former wrestler and actor shared a stark video on Instagram on Tuesday showing massive swelling in his right elbow, which he said was caused by an injury sustained on the set of his upcoming MMA film. “As you know, I’m currently filming a film called The Smashing Machineand every time your film is called The Smashing Machinewell, you’re getting messed up,” he joked.

“Look at that thing there,” he said in the video, poking the injured area. “It looks like I have a melon in the bottom of my elbow. I got hurt pretty badly in our scenes today. And there might be some soft tissue injuries there. That’s a lot of fluid, we’ll see. I need to get it out of there first before I get any MRIs.”

Although Johnson’s injury is unfortunate, it does have parallels to the issue: The Smashing MachineIn the biographical drama, which deviates from the actor’s typical action-adventure films, Johnson plays mixed martial arts fighter Mark Kerr, who once won the Vale Tudo world championship with a broken hand and was later disqualified from competing in American Championship Fighting due to another hand injury.

Representatives for film distributor A24 did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.

Johnson said his pain was severe, but maintained a positive attitude in the video, citing his late father, professional wrestler Rocky Johnson. “He always said, ‘A day without pain is like a day without sunshine, boy,'” the actor recalled.

Johnson also asked his followers for advice on fighting inflammation before promoting his personal tequila brand.

“If you have any advanced tips on good anti-inflammatories, please let me know,” he said. “I’ve tried them all. This one might be my favorite anti-inflammatory. It’s called Teremana,” he continued, pouring himself a glass of tequila.

“I have to tell you, despite all the modern medicine that could fix this, it already feels better,” Johnson said after downing a glass of alcohol. “It already feels better. All right, let’s go to the gym, let’s go.”
