A themed wedding has a 50:50 chance of success

The disadvantages of a themed wedding are as great as the advantages. While the couple can be creative and express their personalities, there is also a significant chance that it will not turn out the way they envisioned.

As a wedding supplier Julianne Smith told Brooklyn BrideA common hurdle with themed weddings is that couples tend to sacrifice the guest experience. According to her, many themes are “affect the accessibility and enjoyment of the event.”

The original author’s fears were justified. However, this does not mean that themed weddings should be avoided at all costs.

The usual problems with theme weddings can be avoided

Themed weddings can be a huge success when done right. Los Angeles-based event planner and lifestyle guru Sharon Sacks suggests not letting the theme dictate the entire ceremony.

“Instead, let your theme shine through in the details,” Sacks wrote in an article for HuffingtonPost“Focus on the little things instead of trying to make every aspect of your wedding fit the theme.

“This is a great way to highlight your theme without turning your special day into a Halloween party. If you focus too much on your theme, this elegant affair can turn into a cheesy evening that your guests will want to forget.”

Instead of requiring guests to be naked, the couple could have focused on being one with nature in their chosen location. This approach would have spared them tension within the family and prevented guests from feeling uncomfortable.

In the comments section, there was no shortage of responses for the original author, most of which were a show of support
