It’s time for our 2024 Black & Gold Banneret Awards! This week we’re presenting our nominees for each award, honoring the best people, moments and achievements from your UCF Knights in the 2023-24 sports year.

Our staff has selected the nominees for each award. We will be voting on them this week and you, the fans, can also vote in the poll below. The winner of the fan vote counts as one vote and in the event of a tie, the award goes to the winner of the fan vote.

  • Recognized as an honorable mention WGCA All-American (one of two Knights to be the first WGCA All-Americans since 1995), All-Big 12 Team and All-Big 12 Tournament Team
  • Six top-ten finishes, a shared singles title at the Gators Invitational and participation in the US Women’s Open
  • Recorded the fourth lowest 54-hole score in program history in September

  • Scored 599 points (2nd in program history), made 138 free throws (5th in program history) and sank 65 three-pointers (9th in program history)
  • Average of 20.7 points per game (3rd in program history)

Rayniah Jones – Athletics

  • Received the bronze medal in the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a program record of 12.59
  • Big 12 100-meter hurdles champion (first Knight to win a Big 12 title)
  • Qualified for the US Olympic Qualification
  • Qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 60-meter hurdles

Sarah Willis – Softball

  • All-Big 12 First Team and All-Region
  • 10-11, 2.34 ERA with 115 strikeouts in 137.1 innings, also hit career high .288
  • Most innings pitched by a Knight in the NCAA tournament, 12 innings on May 18 at the Tallahassee Regional, where she recorded seven strikeouts and allowed just two runs in 200 pitches
  • Was the first UCF graduate to play professionally with Athletes Unlimited
